The CareerBalance Approach to Career Change & Job Search Coaching

city commutersAll our consultants hold professional career counselling or coaching qualifications. Over the past 10 years CareerBalance has supported hundreds of individuals to find more meaningful careers, including moving to self-employment and establishing their own businesses.

  • We work with you at a deep level, helping you to understand your key job-related strengths and transferable skills,
  • We look at your needs from your work, what inspires you, and how flexibly you want to work.
  • We clarify what you wish to achieve – now and in the longer term, inside and outside your career.
  • We can use psychometric profiling to give you additional insights into your preferred ways of thinking and behaving.

Then we start to explore new career options with you – challenging roles which will offer you the job satisfaction, career progression and professional development which you are seeking.

  • We will point out specific roles for you, using our significant knowledge about the current job market.
  • We conduct our own research into career opportunities across different sectors, and engage specialist researchers to assist you.
  • Our expert guidance covers what additional qualifications or training will help you to progress more quickly;  from an MBA, to a professional qualification or a Masters Degree.

You first meet one of our career specialists for an in-depth Career Options & Job Search Consultation. This can also be done over Skype. Many of our clients find the consultation is all they need to point them in the right direction.

After the consultation we send you a written summary with an outline of the further support we can offer you.

If you decide to proceed to a programme you’ll complete our comprehensive career planning documentation, followed by three to six intensive career guidance and job search coaching sessions.
